Fishing Report- Saturday, April 28, 2007

It was a fantastic fishing day for NP, but not so good for me. I didn't catch a single fish, however I did enjoy myself. Today was like being at the beach, the wind was blowing hard out the Northwest at about 20-25 sustained , with even higher gust. I loved the feel of the wind, it was great day for sailing.

Since the wind was blowing out of the northwest, that put us casting directly into the wind. You know that old expression "never spit into the wind". It's hard to cast your line far in a strong wind and add to this tying to keep your balance on a floating dock that is always in constant motion. Judging strikes was extremely difficult too. The bells we use to alert us to the slightest strike were ringing all the time due to the high wind. Still I loved the wind, finally the wind calmed down later in the evening to around 10-12, which was quite pleasant. I took a lot of photos and they tell the real fishing story. I had a great afternoon and evening. I even had fun mowing while NP fished.
