My Favorite SmartPhone Apps of 2013-

I problem have over 100 apps on my Smartphone counting the typical pre-installs. Below are my favorite must have or most frequently used apps of 2013 for me - No Particular Order- *Clicking on the name will take you to Google Play, if you are an Apple Person, I'm sure you will find most of them there also. Most are free, however Netflix requires a subscription. Kulu Pro and Swiftkey have to be purchased.

Drippler- A great way to keep up with what is happening in the Android world, latest apps and updates.

Flipboard  - It is flipping awesome the way it displays post from the timeline from some of your favorite sites.

Waze- Hands down the best navigational aide ever. I threw away my garmin and use this slowly. How many other Navigational Apps tell you there is road kill in your lane. I know Google bought them, but Google maps still can't hold a candle to the Waze App.

Contacts +- Not only is it great for texting, it is also one of the best apps in terms of managing all your                              contacts in one place. You can manage all your social media contacts (g+ and facebook) in one                    place. You can even merge your duplicate contacts that have multiple email addresses.

Fastburst Camera-  The simplest way for me to snap with my Nexus 5. It's fast and you can toggle the sound off completely.

Super-Bright LED Flashlight- My only flashlight

1Weather- Elegant and Informative

Avast Mobile Security- Without a doubt Avast to me is the best in Antivirus Protection, I've been using the
free version for years, after using AVG for years prior.
Anemometer  It's always nice to know wind speed and direction. I check the wind before going kayaking,                          fishing, sailing, raking leaves or pushing logs off the shoreline that wash up.

Chromecast-  You wouldn't have a need for this app unless you had a Chromecast device which cost only                           $35.  The beauty of Chromecast is all you need is wi-fi and TV with HDMI, so you can carry                       it with you anywhere to use, unlike Roku or Apple TV. Google keeps adding apps, I know it                         pales in apps offered compared to Roku, however the ability to move it easily makes it a great                       choice.

Netflix-  Need I really say anything here. It streams to Chromecast beautifully, so if you are at the beach with              wi-fi and have your Chromecast, there is never the need to rent a movie. If you only use the free trial              period during, your $35 Chromecast device will have paid for itself.

Clapp-  The best way to keep up with or find anything on Craigslist.

Circa- A great way to keep up with news on the go.

Kulu Pro- I use this to stream movies that aren't on netflix. The only difference between free version and the                   paid version($1.99) is you can search for movies on the paid version.  You won't regret paying                     the $1.99 and if you have Chromecast, you can easily stream all these to your TV, since they are                   all coming off YouTube.

Malware Bytes-  Best way to find and remove malware.  Great app for smartphone and a must have for                                  program for your laptop.

Quick Cleaner- The quickest way to clear histories, texts and cache.

Adobe Photoshop Express-  A very powerful phone editing application.

SwiftKey - Even though my Nexus 5 has a great keyboard app, I still love Swiftkey the best. If you catch it                     on sale, you can normally get it for $1.99

Umano-   Headlines and your favorite articles narrated by real people. I use this when I don't feel like                           reading or to busy to sit down and read. The narrators are the best!

Twitter-  I use Flipboard mainly for reading my twitter timeline, however I do use the twitter app on                             occasions.

Run Keeper  No matter where you run, walk or kayak. The GPS on Runkeeper will not only give you time                        intervals, but it will let you share with others your trek. Best of all it's free!

Wifi Analyser-    This will show you the signal strength of your wi-fi in various locations. It will really come in                            handy in the malls, restaurants or stores.

ESPN Sports Center-  A great way to keep up with all the scores

Smart Voice Recorder-  If you want to know how loud you snore, this is a great app for that. If you check                                         the pause between silence button, then it will sound like the person does nothing but                                       snore. It will impress and startle you at the same time.
