This is a cool camera feature in Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. No worry if you don't have either. You can download the app from Google Play, I'm not sure about I-tunes. Patience is the key, it's easy enough to use. I had one small glitch in this one, but I attribute it to not having my smartphone display on 1/3 of normal brightness. When you are pivoting 360 in daylight you will encounter the sun's glare at some point. The best thing is to obscure the sun the best you can. I used a large tree to block the sun here, however you will still be able to see where the direct sunlight still streams on each side of the tree. You have to make about 4 rotations to accomplish. The first rotation I held the camera as close and level as possible, once small circle is aligned it auto snaps the photo and continues that for all subsequent photos. You do this in a complete 360. The second and third rotations are pointed upward, complete just as before. Finally I shoot the ground last, complete your 360, press the stop button. The app will then work it's magic aligning everything. I go immediately to my camera's gallery and check for it, it's normally there with in a few seconds. I saw on one youtube video mention that it takes a little longer to process in low light, so be patient.
The first app Photosphere app in Google Play is the one the Nexus 4 and 5 have built into to their camera, the second app is just a wallpaper app of sorts. It's not for taking photos. For now you will see the one from the first app.
