Heading toward Christmas

The meaning of Christmas for me has certainly changed over the years. There was the time it was the most important day for me, however over the years I have learned each day matters. One's goodness should not be based on one day a year, just like one's love for a person should not be based on Feb. 14. While my views on religion and love have changed over the years, this I believe:  There is a Supreme Spirit and what you call your deity or how you worship this Spirit has more to do with the geographic of the region you were born. Almost all religions subscribe to the belief that the good are rewarded, however on there are those religious leaders who preach dire results for those who don't follow their religious belief. Whether  you are Christian, Muslim or Jew, good people do face hardships and tragedy through no fault of their own. Don't lay the blame of  a tragedy  as God's will.  I don't believe in a vengeful God, however I do know vengeful religious leaders and religious groups exist. Even beyond that I believe some natural tragedies are sometimes a part of life.  It is our faith, irregardless of our religion belief that gets us through these times. Whether you believe this or not is not important, each person is free to believe as they choose. I only feel sorry for those who don't subscribe to any belief, because for them life ends. I know my spirit will go forward long after I'm gone. We all hope for a better life and hopefully by doing good we will find it in the present or the next one. For me every day is a blessing the True Meaning of Christmas is to always be Kind and Caring, not just for the Season.
