I needed to blog about nothing

I decided to fill some space and since I don't really have a topic I've decided to post some random BS.  I most certainly need to live up to the poster about blogging below.

It's tax free weekend in NC, which if you are like me, it's one of those days you avoid going to any store or mall.  Like Black Friday, this is one of those days I can truly live without. I would much rather pay the sale's tax, than fight the roving hord of  people.

It's also, meet the TarHeels Football Team  day in Chapel Hill. Since I'm an hour and 15 minutes away, I figure they can come visit me. I do support them and I'm excited about this year's team.  Because I'm living on the Lake again, those fall football days at UNC aren't as important as fall kayaking or fishing.

My son is getting ready to start his sophomore at UNCC.  It's seem like only yesterday he was in grade school.

I'm entertaining the idea of getting a motion activated live game camera. I haven't hunted in years and don't plan to resume  anytime soon.  The camera will be used to take photos of all the wildlife that come into our yard. It would be interesting to see our night visitors. I know we have deer, coyotes, owls, possums, rabbits and raccoon.  It will be interesting of scary to see how many we do get, since lake access is via our lot is easier for most animals.  I just someone doesn't punk me by dressing up like big foot.  I'm not quite  not sure of kind of  live game camera to purchase.  Right now I'm leaning toward the Bushnell Trophy Cam. It is  8 mp, 60 ft range and  HD video. It's a little pricey at  $200, when most others range from $70 to $100.

We are still in the "dog days of summer", I'm ready for the cooler fall. The water temperatures are 92 right now.  My son and I haven't fished since the first week of June. Hopefully when the water temperature drops back into the 70's, will start again.  In the mean time I'm relegated to catching a good sunset.

I still love my new Fuji HS30 camera.  I've been waiting for some ideal conditions, so I can take some better pictures. I'm also looking at getting a timer and taking some time lapse photos with it.  It seems when we have sweltery heat, the skies are drab and so are the sunsets.
