Does Barometric Pressure really effect the way fish bite?
This is something I've read about over the years, however I have paid very little attention to it until recently. I saw some video that said fishing in depths of 20 ft or less is usually lousy when the barometric pressure is 30.2 or above. The guide in the video said you may as well stay home. Well I live on the lake, so I'm going to fish anyway, however it will be fun to test this theory. Today's barometric pressure is 30.23, however it's cloudy and I've always had good results on a cloudy day. Normally I fish 30 minutes before sunset, however on cloudy days I find the time is not that important. If you want to test it for yourself, here is a great site for up to the moment barometric pressurehttp://www.localconditions.com
