Last night's sunset - WOW

What do you see? I only see a beautiful sunset, however when I shared the photos with another person, they saw it differently. This is what they saw and what they said about the pictures above "Nice sunset. However, it would have been better at first taken from the deck without all of the rods and clutter on the pier."

My Reply to their comment "We were fishing"

It's only because we were fishing(which always creates some clutter) that we caught this fantastic sunset. Castnets and fishing rods are necessary to catch fish. It's sad that the pictures some people choose to see, seems to be flawed in some way. They always seem to find and focus on the imperfections, missing the true beauty.

" How many sunsets in your life have you missed because you were focused on the clutter, the imperfections and not the whole sky? " Perhaps one day these people will learn how to focus on the real beauty. Maybe they will see that it's only when we are willing to accept some of life's clutter, that their truly perfect sunset will finally appear. I've been to the perfect places, only to find out that some of best sunsets are in your own back yard. I remember spending 2 weeks in Maui and I can't think of any sunset there, that was any better than the ones I have seen at the lake. I've learned long since then, that to see a world of beauty, you have to accept and expect clutter at times. One will find also, that if they look just past it, there is an amazing world of beauty to see. It's sad that most people will continue through their life, never seeing what real beauty is or never finding it. This is only because they are focused on life's imperfections. I think if they were to look in mirror at themselves, they would find the same imperfections. What's funny is most people never do that, they seem to find flaws in other things and other people.

I'm sure there will be some clutter in my photos, but I think if you look carefully, you will see there is more. Perhaps you will see what I see. You will see a boy who is growing up to be a man and you will see a young man who is learning what is really important in life.

My son doesn't see the clutter , because it's always behind him. Sure I see the clutter, when I'm taking the picture, but I Just look out in front of my son and I see the world he sees. I only hope to capture what I see and share it with you through my photos. Yes there will be clutter in some of my best photos from time to time, but I wouldn't have it any other way. This what life is about, it's never perfect, but it is truly beautiful when you are focused on the the right thing!
