I highly recommend Google Reader.
I'm re posting this from an earlier post, because since that time I've had the pleasure of using "Google Reader" a lot more. This is the best way to keep with news from around the world. It may can be your local newspapers or any paper you like. It is also the best way to keep up with any of your favorite sites that uses an rss feed, like my blog for example.
The latest feature "Google feeder has added is an email feature. This allows you to send what you are viewing to your friends, like this very post you are reading now. Your email friends don't have to have "Google Reader", but you have to have a "Gmail" account to send it from Google Reader.
Google Reader is how I keep up with some of my favorites sites like the "Daily Show", "Colbert Report" and NCOUTLANDER. I also keep up with the Charlotte Observer, Winston-Salem Journal and Lexington Dispatch. The beauty of "Google Reader is that it keeps me from visiting the sites mentioned, unless I find a topic of interest. When I do find such a topic, I can now choose to share it with my email friends, "more spam for them, lol".
One site I'm presently subscribing to is " a 1000 days at sea". This is a fascinating blog by two people who plan to stay at sea on a boat for 3 year. They won't be docking or taking on supplies during the entire 1000 day voyage. They plan on staying out of sight of land also. This is an amazing journey and should be well worth following. Grab Google Reader so you don't have to Click on links like the one below anymore. All new post will automatically appear in Google reader.
