I went to the lake this evening. Mom and Dad are doing doing some renovations on the lake house, so I had to check out the progress. While I was doing that, I decided why not fish for a few minutes. I had left my secret bait at home. This would be a good test to see if the secret bait did make difference.
I'm the type person who will always catch a fish when I go. My faith and belief are that strong. I think on my 5th or 6th cast I caught my first fish, this keeps my record of always catching at least one, alive. I was hopeful that things would be just as good as yesterday. This time I noticed I was making a lot more cast and getting very few strikes. The strikes weren't as hard as yesterday, more faint nudges on the line. I did manage to land one more fish, but nothing like yesterday. I don't know if it had to do with a 6 inch drop in the water or the fact I didn't have my secret bait. I tend to believe the later. I did make a lot casts with no results. My fishing trip today was little disappointing, compared to yesterday. This weekend should be a real good test. NP returns and we will both fish the same lures, however mine will be scented with the the secret bait.
