The Dogwoods Are In Bloom

I'm back and it's that time of year. The fishing is a little slow, but it's a great time to be outside. Sometimes you have to be creative in fishing. I wasn't getting any bites the other day and I remembered seeing a can of "Pledge Citrus Smell furniture polish" at the lake house, so I sprayed my lure with it. My very first cast caught my largest crappie of the year. Talk about the law of attraction or positive thinking, I had it. I believed it would work and it did. Neal Patrick wasn't with me then, because had he been, we both would have had a great belly laugh.

NP caught the first fish of the Spring, it wasn't large, but I thought I would post it for the world to see. A true fisherman, likes to catch any size fish. We always release them to catch again. Hopefully the fish will get larger. The big catfish don't start biting until late May, until then, we take what we can get.
