I started blogging because of my desire to know the meaning of the word"Blog". Now I'm doing the same with the word "Fantasy Football". This word too, has become a large part of the everyday American vocabulary. I decided I needed to know more and I'm one who believes you learn best by doing. I have jumped feet first into the world of Fantasy Football. If you wish to join me, keep reading and I will tell you how.
In my research I have found there are multiple version of the game in the Fantasy world. It's like blogging, your blog can be simple, just like my blog or you can really expand boundaries of it. I'm a simpleton, so I have picked the fantasy games that allow me to learn quickly and play without investing much time. It is actually took me longer to write this post, than it did for me to put a team together.
Multiple sites offer their own versions of Fantasy, some in which you win prizes and money. The one's I will mention are free and you can create prizes from within your group if you wish.
"Yahoo's Fantasy Football".has multiple versions of the game. There are two of which I'm participating in and forming my own groups. One version is called Salary Cap Football: You get to be your own GM. You are given a budget of a 100 million dollars to field your team of 9.
Each week(or you can leave the 9 you pick, but if a player gets hurt, you best sell him), you must select a 9-man roster consisting of:
One Quarterback-
Two Running Backs
Three Wide Receivers
One Tight End
One Kicker
One Team Defense (say Carolina or Pittsburgh)

Espn also has it's Fantasy versions. I participated in their mock draft, which you are drafting a whole lot of players.It actually involves 16 rounds. By the time you get to the 8th, you are ready to let the computer pick the best available. There's no salary caps involved, so it's a little different. You can go to their Draft Lobby and start right away. Just select automatic and the computer will pick your players. If you have a group or a team, let me know, I might want to join in.
CBS EVEN HAS A FANTASY FOOTBALL UNIVERSITY SO FAR I'VE COMPLETED ONE SEMESTER AND RECEIVED ALL A'S. I NEEDED THIS COURSE OF STUDY IN COLLEGE.
