This is the first time in our last 4 outings that NP finally got his groove back, as for me, that's a different story. I did catch 5 good size crappie in one cast net throw. Wouldn't you know the batteries on my camera were dead. Since we release all of our fish immediately, I was unable to wait for the batteries to recharge, for the fear of stressing or killing the fish. By the time the batteries recharged, Neal Patrick had landed this cat. We figure he weighed between 10 and 12 lbs. Size doesn't really matter, because with the recent hot weather we thought our fish had gone to even deeper water. Luckily the recent rains cooled off the water just enough to make it great fishing again. I don't how long the cool water will last, but we will take advantage of it for the next few nights.
